This circuit starts from the end of Mt York Road and follows Coxs Descent, the first road over the Blue Mountains, built in 1815. You then return up the very pretty Lockyers Pass, started in 1832 but never completed. This isan ideal walk in winter or early spring, with the north-facing aspect catching the warmth of the sun and the hillsides awash with wattle blossom.

Ascent/Descent: 260 metres descent, 260 metres ascent, plus 5 km of undulating track
Weather: Avoid hot summer sun
