Only a few minutes away from the bustling shopping centre of Winmalee, this surprisingly lovely valley is home to one of the last stands of Blue Gum Forest in the lower Blue Mountains, with a sidetrack half way along that culminates in a lookout over the Grose River. A favourite among birdwatchers, over 122 species of birds have been recorded at Blue Gum Swamp, with up to 49 species in a single day.
